Shipping and Processing Fees

Our shipping charges are intended to compensate our company for the cost of delivering your order to you. We bill the shipping charges at cost and do not charge for handling and packaging. Our company is located in Cook County Illinois and by Illinois Department of Revenue regulations; we are obligated to charge the Cook County sales tax rate of 10% (as of 07/2008) for orders shipping within Illinois. We do not charge taxes for out of state orders. We encourage you to also review detailed information about our shipping and processing conditions .

Due to the nature of our products (handcrafted, imported from Europe, small scale production), our inventory is limited and we cannot guarantee availability at any time of our products. If a product becomes unavailable, we will make every effort to contact you when it becomes available again after the next shipment of merchandise from our suppliers and apologize for any inconvenience. You will not be charged for any merchandise that is not available and Claybourg International, LLC and its brands cannot be held liable for any consequences of inventory shortage.

Work of art and art-deco items are of limited productions as well and as they are displayed for sale in art galleries in Europe; they may become unavailable at anytime. If they do, we may be able to request a new production from the artist if he did not reach his limited production quota but make no promise of any kind nor can be held liable for any consequences of inventory shortage.

Product Liability

We are not responsible for any personal injuries or property damage allegedly resulting from products sold through any of our channels of business. Users should use their best judgment when purchasing a product. For example, but not limited to, clay cookware retain heat for a long time and touching them without protection will result in painful and deep burns. You can never reach out your pottery from the hot oven without the proper hands protection and cannot drop the pottery on a cold surface (the pottery will crack). Keep your children from handling the clay cookware as they may be more sensitive to heat and drop it, resulting in burns, cuts and bruises. Also, when full of food and juices, large cookware can be very heavy and should be handled with care. When we state that you can bring your cookware directly from the oven to your table, it logically implies that you have prepared the proper protection on your table prior handling the cookware to avoid direct contact between your cookware and your table material, which may result in damaging one or the other, or both.

Collecting Information About You

There may be times (such as when you purchase or order a product, subscribe to a service, register to receive emails, or to participate in contests, sweepstakes or promotions, etc.) when we ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, shipping/billing address, telephone number, email address, credit card information, birth date, gender, occupation, personal interests, etc. We may also maintain a record of your product purchases.

Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to purchase products, or access certain services, offers and content on our web site.
